Home from home in the Hebrides

Our aim at Sith-Phort is to make your stay in the magical Isle of Harris as relaxing and enjoyable as possible. Our restored croft house, which has double glazing throughout, is a cosy and comfortable home from home adapted to the environment.

If you get wet and muddy on a walk, it doesn’t matter. We have a large porch where you can change out of your muddy things, ample drying facilities, storage heating and a warming multi-fuel stove in the living room.

We understand that people like to stay connected when on holiday and so we have free 4G WiFi supplied by EE. The one thing you won’t find at Sith-Phort is a TV. We like to get away from the TV when we’re in Harris and we find our guests do too. For quiet nights in, there is an extensive collection of books, a DVD player with a range of DVDs and a selection of games.

Relax in our beautiful, mature garden

Kitchen garden at Sith-Phort

A special feature of Sith-Phort is the extensive garden. We inherited a carefully planned mature garden from the previous owners and have done our best to restore and maintain it. Vegetables are growing again in the kitchen garden, and we’ve planted apple trees. There’s a picnic table among the pine trees in the area affectionately known as ‘the wilderness’ (this is a Hebridean garden), and herbs are growing in raised beds on the eastern side of the house.

We encourage guests to use the garden and to enjoy the produce from the kitchen garden.
